Standard statement

If the agency has an auxiliary program the agency shall have a written directive that establishes and describes the agency’s auxiliary program to include:

1. a.a statement that auxiliaries are not commissioned with sworn officer status;
2. b.a description of the duties of auxiliaries;
3. c.a requirement that if auxiliaries wear uniforms, the uniform will clearly distinguish them from sworn officers; and
4. d.a requirement that auxiliaries receive training for duties to which they are assigned.
