Standard statement

If the agency has a reserve officer program they shall have a written directive that establishes and describes the reserve officer program to include:

  1. a.the selection criteria for reserve officers are the same as full-time officers;
  2. b.requiring Mississippi BLEOST Certification;
  3. c.annual in-service training equal to full-time officers;
  4. d.reserve officers' uniforms and equipment are the same as full-time officers when performing like functions; and
  5. e.reserve officers are bonded and/or provided with public liability protection equal to that provided to full-time officers.
