Standard statement

The agency shall have a written directive governing procedures for the custodial interrogation of juveniles, to include provisions for the following:

Each bullet must stand alone when establishing compliance, with proofs identified for every lettered requirement.

  1. a.conferring with parents or guardians;
  2. b.limiting the duration of the interrogation and limiting the number of officers involved in the interrogation; and
  3. c.explaining agency and juvenile justice system procedures to juveniles being interrogated.
