Chapter 8. Temporary Holding Areas

Standard statement

The agency’s holding facilities shall provide the following minimum conditions for detainees:

Each bullet must stand alone when establishing compliance, with proofs identified for every lettered requirement.

1. a.adequate lighting as required by local code or ordinance;
2. b.circulation of fresh or purified air in accordance with local public health standards;
3. c.access to a toilet and drinking water;
4. d.access to wash basin or shower for detainee held in excess of eight hours; and
5. e.a bed and bedding for each detainee held in excess of eight hours
