Standard statement

A written directive provides procedures for handling missing persons, which include at a minimum:

Each bullet must stand alone when establishing compliance, with proofs identified for every lettered requirement.

1. a.initial description and information to be gathered;
2. b.dissemination of collected information;
3. c.entry and removal of the information in the appropriate criminal justice information system;
4. d.follow-up contact with the reporting persons;
5. e.follow-up investigation and search;
6. f.juveniles; and
7. g.any special considerations applicable to at-risk persons.
